What to have ready

Five things in front of you.

  • Your year to date profit and loss. Straight out of QuickBooks or Xero. Do not clean it up first.
  • Your best estimate of margin on materials and labor. A number you believe, not one you calculated.
  • Where the business is costing you sleep. Cash timing, collections, a specific job, a specific customer, whichever it is.
  • Your ceiling. The revenue number you keep hitting and cannot break through.
  • Roughly how the work splits. Service versus new construction versus remodel, in rough percentages.

If you cannot pull half of this together, come anyway. Not being able to answer these questions is usually the reason to have the call.

What happens after

A written summary within two business days.

Within two business days you get a short written summary of what we saw and what we would fix first. It is yours to keep whether or not you hire us. No contracts, month to month, and we will not chase you.
