What we collect, and what we do with it.

Where we work

Nationwide, from wherever your trucks are.

Livewire Financial serves electrical contractors across the United States. Everything runs in the cloud and every meeting runs on Zoom, so your location does not limit the work. We are based in metro Atlanta, Georgia, and we work with shops in any state.

What we collect

Three kinds of information.

  • What you give us directly. Your name, email, phone number and whatever you tell us about your business when you book a review, email us, or use a tool on this site.
  • What your books contain. If you become a client, we handle your financial records. That is the whole job. It stays confidential and we do not sell it, share it or use it for anything other than doing your work.
  • How you use this site. Pages visited, roughly where you are, what device you used and what brought you here. This is standard web analytics and it is not tied to your name.
What we do with it

Answer you, serve you, and improve the site.

To respond

If you book a review or send us a message, we use your contact details to reply and to prepare for the call. If you are not a fit, we tell you and that is the end of it. We do not add you to a mailing list you did not ask for.

To do the work

For clients, we use your financial records to keep your books, produce your reports and give you advice. Nothing more.

To see what is working

Analytics tells us which pages people actually read and which tools get used, so we build more of what helps and stop building what does not.

Who else touches it

The services we run on.

We use established providers to run the business. Each one only receives what it needs to do its job.

  • Microsoft. Email, file storage and the booking calendar on this site.
  • Google Analytics. Anonymous site usage statistics. No financial data ever passes through it.
  • Resend. Sends the emails this site generates, such as a calculator readout you asked for.
  • Xero and QuickBooks Online. Where client books live. Your file is yours.
  • Our team. Livewire Financial works with a small team including contractors based outside the United States who handle day to day bookkeeping under confidentiality agreements. We are happy to walk through exactly who touches your account on a call.
Your choices

What you can ask us to do.

  • Ask what we hold. Email us and we will tell you what information we have about you.
  • Ask us to delete it. We will, unless we are legally required to keep it. Client financial records are typically retained for seven years for tax and audit purposes.
  • Turn off analytics. Most browsers offer a do not track setting or an ad blocker, and either will stop our analytics from seeing you.
  • Take your books and go. If you leave, your file transfers to you. We do not hold anyone's records hostage.

This site is not intended for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page.
